Don went to Chico for help.  Chico made Don the first Black man to ever join a Colombian cartel.  Don made it to the upper echelon of the drug trade in one swift motion.   He no longer cared if his soul was stained with unforgivable sins of blood and murder.   The loss of Nydia and his little brother Kasan made him devoid of any emotions of sympathy for anyone or anything.

It was the dream which allowed him to escape his first death.   He was now having dreams of a second death lurking in the shadows waiting to consume his soul.   A new set of enemies were seeking to take his life, but not before Don revealed to the world he was very much alive.  The day of his revelation would be the reason the Newark police department would get a chance to kill Don Starchild and watch him die for the second time.

Don only went halfway when punishing Sosa for sending him to prison and Sosa used Don’s younger brother as a pawn to force Don to face him after a huge defeat to his ego.  However, his brother was accidentally killed in the process of Sosa’s revenge.

Don then became a cold and calculating man and his quest was to build an empire in tribute to his slain brother.  His main goal was one of power and he wanted to totally dominate the underworld in order to fill the void created by his mistake of not killing his one and true enemy when he had the chance.

Don immersed himself deep into the world of a gangster and with the help of a Columbian cartel he built a family of his own.  They were willing to die for their leader but on the last day of serving him, they watched him die before their very eyes.

Upon his foster mother’s death, Promise escaped the system of numerous foster homes by migrating to Newark NJ.  It was his foster mother’s last dying declaration for him to live with a couple who gave her their word to raise Promise if anything happened to her.
